Lorna Unwin from the new Commission on Adult Vocational Pedagogy makes some interesting observations about the ‘dynamic and multi-faceted world of work’ of FE and Skills Teachers.

Amongst other interesting comments, Unwin identifies that within this area of the sector, ‘the boundary between teacher and learner tends to be more fluid with greater use of team work and collective problem solving’.

Maxam Training is delighted to announce that we have now been approved by our Awarding Organisation, Edexcel, to deliver the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).

This qualification will allow learners, on completion, to apply to the Institute for Learning (IfL) for a ‘full’ teacher status within the FE and Skills Sector.
